State participation is necessary for the safety and well-being of the population

On October 23, 2024, a pre-election meeting of the leaders of the People's Democratic Party with disabled people was held at the multidisciplinary central polyclinic in Samarkand. The speakers presented to voters the content of the proposals and initiatives included in the Electoral Program of the People's Democratic Party and the programs of candidates for deputies. In particular, it was noted that the issue of ensuring the requirements and needs, legal rights and interests of persons with disabilities is proposed based on the goals of the party and the interests of its voters. It was noted that the party remains true to its position that it must pursue a strong social policy in order to fully ensure the interests of the population of the state.

At the meeting, it was noted that the party strives to achieve full harmonization of national legislation with the UN provisions on equal opportunities for people with disabilities. The party is developing national standards for the accessibility of facilities and services for persons with disabilities and puts forward a number of proposals and initiatives related to their strengthening at the legislative level.

During the conversation, which took place in a sincere and upbeat mood, it was also discussed that the issue of developing national standards for the accessibility of facilities and services for people with disabilities is a task that cannot be postponed. For this purpose, additional opportunities for the movement of people with disabilities are being created, including the installation of electronic hearing aids for the blind at train stations, airports and train stations, the installation of sound electronic devices that warn people with disabilities at traffic lights and special corridors, is also marked as a task.

Therefore, a favorable environment and conditions for citizens with disabilities must be created for each member of society at the same time. They must also be active participants in public life and have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities. Only then will a healthy and free environment prevail in real life, party activists believe.

Also warmly received were proposals to expand the list of diseases of children under 18 who need care, thereby taking measures to further improve the state system of social support for families caring for children who need constant care. It was noted that this initiative serves to increase the activity of children with special educational needs in the life of the state and society, as well as to strengthen the sense of involvement in the fate of the country. At the meeting, along with the creation of equal opportunities for education, the issue of providing benefits to teachers involved in inclusive education was also emphasized. During a sincere conversation, the candidates for deputy explained in detail each proposal of the program. Having expressed their opinions on the program, its proposals and initiatives, voters addressed the party activists with questions of interest to them.
